MIRAGE closes Kilian Bron’s documentary trilogy with his most committed mission yet: climbing Bolivia’s 6,088-meter Huayna Potosí and riding the glaciated peak all the way back down, with crampons, ropes and crevasses along the way. It’s a second attempt at a line his team couldn’t finish in 2022, so the film carries a lot of weight.

I composed Subsurface especially for MIRAGE. The music had to suit a place that is beautiful and dangerous at the same time: vast, quiet and a little unsettling. It also had to give the film room to breathe. My track Gaze is featured in the film as well.

The film ran in cinemas in France and was shown at more than 60 French film festivals before its online release in September. It was a privilege to be part of it.
